Pen-and-paper exercise

Molecular Fingerprints and smiliarity

This exercise shows how a computer translates molecules into vectors of 0s and 1s, by spotting which fragments are present in a given molecule.
By comparing the vectors (also known as Fingerprints), the computer is able to quantify the similarity between molecules.
You will experience that similar drug molecules have likely the same biological activity.
